Platinum Series Baseball

Platinum Series Baseball (also PSB) is a two player tabletop dice-and-card baseball strategy game. Players (Managers) create their own fantasy Big League franchise. PSB is an official licensee of the Major League Baseball Players Association. A standard PSB game box contains a game board, three ten-sided dice, card holders, score sheets, Instructions and enough player cards to field two teams. Players can expand their player options by purchasing card packs. Dice rolls determine the outcome of gameplays. As players gain exp they can unlock more game play features online
Game Setup
First, managers must decide who the home team is. This is determined by a dice roll. Each manager will roll one die and the highest roll is the home team. Then the winner of the dice roll chooses and announces the starting pitcher. Each manager will then select a team from their deck. Teams consist of 9 to 25 players. Managers will then decide their batting order and write it into the score sheet. Next players will designate relief pitchers and a DH if wanted. If a DH is used, the pitchers do not bat.
Gameplay
*Managers compete head-to-head for 9 innings, or until there is a clear winner.
*Away team bats first. Card holders will be used to mark who is up to bat, and who is on what base. The pitcher and batter on deck will also use a card holder.
*If the batter is a switch hitter (BH), the manager must announce which hand he is batting that at bat.
*Batter will roll the 3 dice. Players will read the dice as a 3 digit number in the order Red, White, Blue.
*If the roll is less than 500, Players will consult the batter's player card for the outcome.
*Use the "vs. LH" column of the batter's player card if the opposing pitcher is left-handed. Use the "vs. RH" column if the opposing batter is right-handed.
Card Outcomes
*New players will use the Card Results Reference Chart printed on the playing diamond for outcomes and abbreviations. For in-depth explanations, refer to the Card Results
*Hits, Popouts, Fouls, Home Runs, Wild Plays and more make up the outcomes. If it happens in the Bigs, it can happen in PSB.
*Managers play the inning until 3 outs are accrued, then switch from offense to the defense and complete the bottom half of the inning.
